Be You No Matter What…

Hello, friends. I am back with a second lesson I learned from my own experience. I am sure many of you or I should say all of you will agree with me with this one. So the second chapter is ‘Be You No Matter What’.

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it’s time to pause and reflect.

More often than not I see people not do something out of fear of what others may think. That something that they were going to do, however, showcases their personality. The fear of not being liked, being different, or being weird restrains us from being our complete selves. Why is that? Why do we let what others think to control our entire being?

Being able to express yourself in your own way has to be one of the greatest feelings in the world. It is a feeling of self-accomplishment and pride in one’s work. Having the ability to do this is an amazing characteristic that us humans have. But hiding that quality makes you feel small and belittled. Why do we let ourselves hide our talents? We are just as crazy, cool, different, and imperfectly perfect as the next person.

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

Many of my readers may be knowing about my love for the retro songs. I am proud of that thing. I know most of the people of this generation, of my generation likes listening to EDM and all but I at any given time will prefer Kishore Kumar and Bob Dylan over any of the modern singers. Maybe people will judge me for this but I always tell myself that I Don’t Care.

I am too old school for my generation, and I am proud of it. I am a die-hard fan of vintage stuff, be it typewriter, fountain pen or a polaroid camera. A diary and a pen can never be replaced by notes on a cell phone. I think old school is not just a tag but, it’s a way of life. There was a time when I used to think that maybe I am just a boring person and other’s are so cool, but with time I realized that there is an undeniable hollowness within each of us that could only be filled in with things which are more permanent, promising and real.

I always say that if a person like me can accept who he is and be himself in every situation, irrespective of caring about what other’s will be thinking then why can’t you guys be yourself and live your life your own way.

Go out and be yourself. I’ve been called weird, obnoxious, and plenty of other things, but that is what makes me, me. I am happy with who I am as a person. I am able to help people, make my friends laugh, build positive relationships with others, and most importantly, I am happy with myself. No matter what the situation is, I am myself. Don’t let people bring you down for being you. You are great, special, and one of a kind.

  1. The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

Yes, you are wiser than most of your own generation. You are confident and you will succeed in life. Follow your own path.๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. Yes. Be true to who you are and don’t ever let anyone change you……( unless you are a psychopath, out to murder innocent civilians…then maybe this lesson isn’t for you..)
