What Do You Wanna Do?

6th Semester of Engineering has started and my college arranged a new subject for us,i.e., Life Skills. It is a quite different subject which we used to study in our university. In one of our lecture the teacher asked us about our goals and desires. That was the day I got an idea to write this blog.

Everyone have some goals, some desires in life. Something they want to achieve and can’t live without it. They can be short term goals or can be long term goals.

The question, then, is undoubtedly, “What do I want to do?” As we think about the idea of doing what you love and pursuing your passions – it’s easy to get hung up on the ambiguity of what exactly that passion – that burning fire – is. But it’s actually a lot simpler to tap into than you think.

The question you have to answer is: What do I want to do?

Of course there are things we all have to do. We have to show up. We have to communicate. We have to hit deadlines. But what about the things we want to do?

What you do and how you do is deeply rooted in why you do it.

So why are you here? What do you want to do? What lights you up? What do you take the most pride in?

Like everyone I too have many things I wanna accomplish before I die. I have created a bucket list of my own. Bucket list is the best thing you can make to organize your desires and wishes. Few of my desires are:

  1. I want to travel the world with love of my life.
  2. I want to go for skydiving in Spain.
  3. I want to own an Audi R8.
  4. See the Northern Lights.
  5. Do public speaking in front of 1000 people or more.

Being an Indian and studying engineering I have come across many people who took up engineering due to parental pressure. Here every parent want their child to be a doctor or an engineer. Anything except that is a shame.

But I believe a person can only do wonders if he/she do things in which they are interested and have passion about. I have seen many people who are excellent singers, awesome cricketers or fabulous  dancers, but are into engineering field wasting their time.

People are going to judge you anyway, no matter what you do. So you might do what you really wanna do. If you want to achieve great things then stop asking for permissions. A day will come when you will be lying on bed and waiting for death.

At that moment nothing will give happiness to you except the memories of things you did in your life, and that memories will give you immense pleasure and you will go peacefully.

At the end of my blog post I am going to ask everyone reading this to comment at least 1 of their desires and things they want to achieve before they die and also urge to everyone to make a bucket list of their of their own.

    1. Wow. That’s great. Writing is a book is one of my wish also. Not a love story as I don’t believe in love. But poetry I love. I used to write poetry in my school days but stopped it now.

      1. Yup traveling teaches us a lot. It’s way better than any school or college. We meet new people of different ethnicities, learn different languages and about their culture. Traveling is love😊😍

    1. Many engineering students in India are forced by there family. It’s good you came into it out if your passion. That’s good. People don’t want to join politics and then criticize the government it’s good to know you want to join politics and do good for country. Best of luck😊😊
